Default OC bike trail maps

yes, i know, it's been answered before, but is there a good online source for all of the paved bike paths in OC? I'm specifically looking for San Diego Creek and the path that goes by Aliso woods and dead-ends up near cooks corner.

Go here:

http://www.octa.net/bikeways_map.aspx

You can download the pdf's and print them out yourself.
If you call or email them, they will send you a wall sized one you can hang at work.

Eric: thanks much!

we're trying to be a more "green" company and as I'm the only bike-commuter, everyone's coming to me for map/route ideas, and the off-road trails are indeed the safest.

Thanks for the link Eric, I was looking for something like that.

It would be pretty cool to get the wall map and then add in the off road trails that you can take to cut through. A cyclocross bike would be fun to commute/explore this way.

Anyone good with photoshop and mapping that can modify a PDF file with trails too?

you might want to look at routeslip.com there's a lot of roadie maps on it; its basically geoladders but for roadies. there's a lot of maps in there and some are pretty long. hope this helps.

This is a good source, but keep in mind, it has a lot of outdated info.

Ethan, you can o to the Amtrack station and pick up an octa bikeways map that has the SD bike path and all the paved ones in OC. I use it for my commute from MV to JWA.

I think my issue with this book is their "grunt factor" or difficulty ratings being inaccurate.

They give Telegraph Canyon in Chino....the long fire road a 5. Yet they give Cholla in Aliso a 3.

The mapping is great but the ratings are a skosh off.
