That's only 60 miles, what are you going to do for the rest of the day?

I'll be riding down from Washington state that day. That should be day 3, so I should be somewhere around Salem, Oregon.

That really is a fun flat easy to do ride. I highly recommend it for someone who is looking for a nice casual road ride.

The reason I am calling it an all day event, is because I am hoping to get alot of people together for this ride. Hoping to have 20 plus people with everything from beginners to advanced riders. Last time I rode it on my bike we got just over 68 miles round trip. It really is a pretty flat ride, and best time for myself was abolut an hour and twenty..... that was pushing pretty hard. I am hoping that along with a good ride, everyone will have some lunch together hang out BS with each other and just have a really good day, planning a few stops along the way back at some of the local shops for some refills on beverages, possibly some cold refreshments that they have. You know little gas stations for extra water, maybe a Popsicle. or a needed break for the newer riders. One more hope I have is that the more advanced riders will help the beginners with technique, posture reccomendations, ETC. Most of all though, I want people to feel at home, and have a good time. I know some people from my area want to ride the entire way down, and will be meeting us at Green river, there total ride will be about 140. So come on out and have fun!!!!!

if your on 71S take 91 W then exit green river, its the exit after u take the 91 then i think u go straight pass jack in the box and park beside the golf course. you'll see a lot of cars parked there. Get your bike then proceed further straight and its on the left side.

Sounds like a fun ride if you can get the big group. Bump this ride later so I don't forget, July is a long way away.

There is a Coco's and a Tacobell there also, head past all those and go towards the golfcoarse, there is a big open dirt lot on the right side where everyone parks, If you get to the golfcoarse you passed it by about 100 yards!!!

This is a paved Path BTW, for anyone that does not know it, So that means no cars to contend with. Might hit a construction zone or two, but this is one of those ride you can put your head down and just crank it out!!!

No kidding. There must be a tri coming up or something because I keep seeing the top of people's heads (they are on their time trial rigs) pointed at me on the trail.

I commute 3-4 times a week on the trail, but I jump on only for a 5 mile stretch between Chapman and Glassell. That 5 mile stretch is always my favorite time of the day. I'd love to have a reason to go ride the whole thing one of these days, but I won't be able to make this ride.

You may want to make this a calendar event so it is searchable on the calendar!

There have been a great number of break ins to vehicles parked there lately. Can I suggest the JensonUSA parking lot in Corona. It's Serfas Club Dr. and the 91, about 3 or 4 miles east of the Green River spot.

I also might be bringing about 5 other people with me on the ride of non-STR type but that will quickly change.

I'd like to join. I've been MIA from SoCalTR with new job, & new baby... But maybe I'll bring my baby along in her new bike trailer.

I catch the SART on Kraemer. Just wondering if there will be a way for me to recognize you on your way down.

look for the group of people having fun while riding not just putting their heads down and hammering through the ride.
