Lost another rider

Sorry, I don't have any other information at this time, but when I hear of anything else I'll post it here.

I guess I'm just trying to let everyone know that our sport is a dangerous one and to please be aware of the dangers involved. Weather road riding or mountain, please keep in mind the risks involved. A lot of us do ride and without the risk factor we may not ride at all. It let's us know we are alive. Some people claim that the closer they are to danger the more alive they feel, and I believe most of us can and do relate, but everything has to be considered when riding.

My heart goes out to Dales family and all the other riders recently who have died or been seriously injured.

Mike, the information I have from members who were there is this; Coming down Euclid, just past the intersection at 24th street, Dale began getting speed wobbles. He went down and hit something or another head first and was knocked immediately unconscious. Karen and Sinta stayed with him until the ambulance arrived. There was a doctor on the ride also who stopped and had conveyed that he didn't think things looked good for Dale. The mood was somber back at The Grind. The club is holding an emergency board meeting tonight to assess what could have been done, if anything, to have prevented the accident. I'll let you know what is decided as I will be there tonight.
