Default Velodrome nearest Fullerton?

What is the nearest velodrome to Fullerton? It just looks awsome and fun and I want to try it out sometime. If I went, do I have to have my own bike? Any info is welcome, Thanks.

Either Carson or San Diego. Dunno about Carson, but the SD track has classes and rents bicycles. If you google San Diego Velodrome, you'll probably find what you need.

Looks like you can rent a bike for $15 and your first class is $20 at the LA Velodrome. It's in Carson; basically a straight shot down the 91 from Fullerton.

About 25 miles away, I'll have to check it out. Thanks. I heard that northridge state has a track too, is this true?

You are probably thinking of Dominguez Hills, which is now closed (the velodrome).

The new track that replaced the one at Dominguez Hills is at the ADT Event Center in Carson. It's the same one katonk mentioned, and it's also the one closest to you. We--Southern Californians--are lucky that we have 3 tracks that are so close to us. Elsewhere in the country, people often drive up to 4 or 5 hours a couple of times a week just to ride on the track.

Don't do the $20 class, you don't get much (from what Roger told me at the Velodrome). If you do the $65 class, you're certified to ride there at any of the sessions they have--those are a lot cheaper and plenty fun. Plus, you're cert to ride the track for any races (if you decide to try them). The bikes they rent are Felt and are in pretty good shape (they're track bikes, not too much to go wrong with). Have FUN!!!

I was just at the Home Depot track tonight and try to go twice a week, Its only $10 for Team Velocity riders, ($20 for anyone else), and $10 for a rental (I think). If your new then its worth the $65 class. Like katonk said its straight down the 91. Beautiful track and facility. Also every one is nice. Tues and Thurs nights are structured timed interval rides with 2 groups. If your uncomfortable, at first, you can just ride on the apron. Its fun.

When I have the means I'd love to head on out there. Looks like it'd be a $100ish dollar evening for the class and rentals but it sounds like lots of fun.
