Default commuters! what's your ride?

I ask as I've seen lots of people out on the paths, and even got paced by a guy yesterday

anyone?

what's your route? bike?

mine?

bike:
lightspeed aerenberg. traditional white cork bar tape, green crank bros pedals. that's about the only thing recognizable at speed

afternoon home-run route:
san diego creek channel MUT from the jamboree/main area to East Yale Loop.

hoping to turn them into longer rides and get some more benefit out of it on the way home.

Dude I do the same ride 3 days a week down Ocean Blv. from down town LB to Belmont or Seal Beach.

I'll be on the look out.

I ride to school everyday, does that count? I ride either my cruiser (currently out of commission) or my 1993 Trek 1200.

I use to commute 8 miles each way on my Surly Long Haul Trucker, then I sold it to buy the Titus.

I'll soon be working about 2 miles from work, so I'll just ride the Titus there.

I'm in the planning stages for my next commuter/touring bike.

I have about 70% dirt (LPQ) between my home and work, so my commuter is the same bike I ride on the weekends.

Mine is the plain black, bought it before the special edition ones came out. I found it on craigslist for $400, practically new. It is my favorite bike. The aluminum is a bit harsh but a really fun bike to ride.

Those special editions are way cool!

Since 1997 I've been commuting to work on my old 1990 Merlin. It's only 1 1/2 miles one way but rain or shine for 10 years gives me bragging rights!

I'm hoping to do a bit o bike commutting this summer when my shifts change to 10am - 630pm. It'll be a combo of dirt and street so I'm planning on using the FSR.

Rob, That is one nice LHT!

I commute most weekdays. Except Monday. That's the day I take clean towels and t-shirts to my office for the rest of the week.
I was doing a 15 mile commute from Tustin to HB. So I was using my "urbanesque" Jamis Coda.

Since I moved to Costa Mesa about a month ago, my ride is only about 8 miles. I make it a little further by going through Fairview Park (the one across from the Sheep Hills jumps)...which involves some dirt roads. Now I ride my old beater GT Timberline with 1.5'" Maxxis Overdrives. It's slow fo sho! But it's indestructible and I don't have to worry about off-road short-cuts, hoppin' off curbs, etc
