I think the one I saw at wallyworld will give you two charges on the pod, you can also uses it to play the pod (like if your batteries are dead) and then charge it when you aren't using it.

I know the pain of not having replaceable batteries on a pod... its the only thing I really dislike about them

I have to run but I remember seeing a solar device that would work for phones and pods... it was slike 3 oz and 100$ I think you could only use it to charge one device at a time but the solar piece was something like 3*3in and would fit easily somewhere. I'll try and figure that out. I think I saw it in a backpacker magazine.

Wasn't there a youtube video on how to charge an ipod/cell phone using a lemon/potato or something along that line?

I checked out the energizer one today at the store, but the clerk told me they have something new coming in, in a few weeks that will charge them both. Maybe this is what you're talking about Josh?

We can compare notes... I'll be riding BC to BC in April - roughly 30 days. More details will be forthcoming, but it is just one leg of a long journey that a friend and I are taking to raise awareness for a few charities.

Sounds like one fine adventure. As for charging the ipod, how about stopping at a public library, you can recharge (if they will let you get away with it), and (more importantly) use a computer to post up some pix and rr's along the way for those of us stuck behind our desks.
