An e-mail sent out by the club I'm in.

"Speaking of ex-LaGranger Kayle Leogrande, sounds like he had a pretty bad accident, splitting his head in two, during the Rock Racing training camp this week. It was a pretty gruesome scene with Tyler Hamilton sitting on the side of the road holding the pieces of Kayle’s skull together.
All those who think the Rock Racing guys look pretty cool riding up the PCH helmet-less, take note. You won’t be seeing that anymore."

and it looks like he was the anonymous rider suing the USADA for trying to test his "B" sample after his "A" sample was negative.

Still those guys are nuts for riding without helmets, that's plain and simple stupid!

We're starting to see some of the pros up here training for the Tour De CA. They're riding up narrow roads without shoulders that even in a car can be sketchy in some areas. The worst part is that they aren't wearing helmets. I hope their organ donor card is updated...

thats crazy, im glad hes ok, and im glad it wasnt the guy i knew on that team taht got hurt. a guy named rudy used to work at our shop and now races for them .

Looks like most of the Rock Racing team is going to race just east of San Diego Saturday along with some other big pro domestic teams at the Boulevard Road Race. Anyone planning on racing it?

I did that race once a few years ago. YUCK! It was so cold and they start the women at like 7:30 or so. It was funky. Good course though....at noon.
