Default Road biking in Joshua Tree NP

Can anyone recommend any particular roads, loops, etc to ride in Joshua Tree NP. Going there to climb but would like to bring the road bikes too.

I think there are only like 3 roads in the park. http://www.nps.gov/jotr/planyourvisi...ad/jotrmap.pdf

As you know water will be an issue as JTree is pretty much dry. A ride out to Keys View would be cool. Good climb. Once you are past White Tank it's pretty desolate out there. A nice ride might be to head to Cottonwood Visitor Center, get water, and head back.

Default I camp

at Hiddern Valley (who doesn't) and ride to Cotton Wood, you can aways take a camel pack if it's warm or dry. The only big hill is the road down to the North enterance. Have fun, I am way over due a visit it's our favourite place to camp & relax.

I actually have never camped at Hidden Valley because it is always full. My fav is Ryan Camp. We always stayed there in Boy Scouts. I also like Jumbo Rocks. A cool place to check out is 49 Palms Oasis. Cool little 1 mile hike to an oasis.
