Default power tap

I was gonna sell my power tap hub and kit on e-bay. Its the wired version... it has about 1500 miles... I had problems with the original unit... sent it back got a fixed hub and new computer... it hasn't been built into a wheel... whats a reasonable asking price? I have the software CD and thingy for hooking it to your pc which was never used...

I should have just bought beer for what I spent.

Most folks are into the wireless version right now. Those sell for almost close to retail, even used.

I've heard the wireless sucks though, drops out a lot.

BTW, how much freaking beer do you drink, cause by my recollection, spending the money on beer instead of a Power Tap is a helluva lotta beer!

Not sure about the cost though, sorry. Have you tried calling roadie shops? They may have an idea on cost, if not on someone that would buy it.

How much beer do I drink? well considering I've had a thoussand dollar rear wheel and have used it maybe for 10 rides in 5 years.... I think a grand would have bought a lot more entertainment... no?

Yes I gave you shit... about being plugged in while we were having food. I mean who needs to be digital while eating grease...unless its a top secret juicer trick to help monitor curly fry metabolism?

I'm bout to order spokes and act like a proper roadie with my bling wheel... on my non-bling road bike. It will be my jedi mindtrick... show up for the group rides after a 40 and already have 60 miles done and act like I'm gonna rip the pack apart. Yeaaa ha. Does that mean I need to shave my legs?

New in a wheel those go for about $800 ish or so on sale.

The cost to build that into a wheel will be prohibitive. If you are going to try to sell it, I would have it built up first into like a Mavic Open.

Then maybe you can get $500 for it. But what do I know, I am too cheap to train to power. (see signature)

I'd ask about $300.00 for it if I was you. The alternative is to build it into a wheel first and ask more... by the time you factor in a rim, spokes and the build cost you'll be getting close to 200 dollars (out of pocket, depending on what rim and spokes you spec.) and judging from the prices on ebay you might not make it back.

Scroll down to "Power Cranks" for a good sense of what they're worth.

I might just rebuild it the rim is in great shape. I could then accuratel calculate how many chipss I can have with my 1 post ride beer to make sure I add to my gut. Training at its best
