THE Penultimate Mtb'er

Nyes is supposed to be a decent climb, as is Newport Coast if you add in Ridgeline (not that I've done them, only heard). Laguna has some nifty little climbs around town.
I am supposed to try out Palomar though, I'll let you know how that is (not OC) ![]()

I like to start at the hwy 60 and mountain... have some food and start my repeats to the chair lifts at baldy. Usually do 3 repeats, if Im feeling frisky I'll take the mtb and do the same repeats but I'll ride to the notch and have a beer.
One thing I won't ever do again is to visit the buckhorn again... wow. |

I was doing it for some VQ training because of the wet conditions, and it's a great loop for that, huge climbs and screaming descents. Good stuff!
