In the middle photo my expression is a cross between agony and extreme concentration as thye asked me to move my arm.

I was looking at a Demo9 at The Path yesterday. I hear they're quite popular!
An Enduro is more likely though - we'll see.

Pics of my fancy new 'special ops' cast. I wanted a red band round the end to mark the death of the stumpjumper but the ortho tech forgot it.

Nice! Back to the skinnied arm brit we've all come to know

Demo 8's are bitching, but yeah, not good for climbing up hill. Just don't get one of the new Enduro SL's. Have Tani get you the Elite or whatever they're calling them now. Way mo betta. Bike can be somewhat lightened up, but it isn't a XC machine.

I must have missed the details.

If you don't mind my asking, how, where and when did that happen?

Thumbs up

Keith,

At least you had a couple of lovely nurses taking care of you in the ER... could have been much worse... Bubba & Billy who flunked out of med school.

Nice work with the cast. I can see you are a hand full.

Just remember this too shall pass... you may continue to heal.

I sprained my wrist and the Dr said no problem the full range will come back...OOPS he was wrong....I'm also having surgery on my thumb on 9-6 b/c of an open union that didn't show in the xrays...

good luck w/ the recovery....and NIIIIIICE scar..had someone gotten that on video you could do that show on MTv....SCARED

Question

Keith,

How'd you do over the weekend? Much iching of the arm in the cast yet? One thing you've got going for you as a young grasshopper... you'll heal fast and be back on the bike in no time.

Hey OMR,

Made it through the weekend without painkillers but popped one this morning. Went to the gym for my first exercise in 2.5 weeks - couldnt even manage one rep on the lowest setting with my left arm. Did some walking on a gradient and 10mins on the seated bike thing. Still hardly any range of movement in my elbow.

Saturday afternoon I went and got my new bike (Gotta love the invention of the plastic cards!).
Big thanks to Sarah, Tani and Cid for cutting me an awesome deal at The Path. It bears more than a passing resemblence to the dearly departed Stumpjumper. Just got to pay it off now

Got a nice email from Easton telling me they'll give me a brand new EC90 SL in exchange for destruction testing the ones that went into the tree (They appeared undamaged) Great attitude from Easton and freaking strong bars too.

Here's the new ride..............
