Default Rider air lifted from Aliso Woods today

Saw a rider go down in Aliso Woods today on the main fire road ridge, just south of Lynx.

Rangers and ambulances responded quickly, and eventually the MedEvac landed right next to the Lynx trail head to pick him up.

Don't know how he crashed, but he seemed awake and conscious after what looked like a pretty bad OTB face plant.

Hope he's doing alright

I was riding across Laguna and could hear the copter flying in Aliso. I hope he is doing allright as well. Sucks to hear these types of things especially on a fire road! Be careful out there, the rain has changed the trails a lot!

What time was this at? I rode Aliso Woods today from 11 to 1:30 I didn't see any emergency vehicles. Man thats going to be an expensive ride to the hospital, but most importantly I hope he is OK!!

Ya i was watching it from the top of 5 oaks. The ambulances seemed to be on the fire road above lynx where it curves so i'm guessing someone ran into someone else. And i have to say it is a pretty spectacular sight to see a heli land on the trail. Hope the people involved are okay.

He looked pretty bad but was alert and awake when I came up on the group. It was a little wet and chunky where he crashed. Asked if he was ok and if they need anything, they said Rangers and help was on the way, always a good idea to ride with someone else. about half way up road by Rock-it trail head, saw the rangers and directed them down to the crash. He was awake and conscious when they MedEvac him. Healing Vibes, get better buddy.

Happened around 10 I think. I was heading back to meadows when the ambulance passed me on ToW. Interesting happening for my first time riding in Aliso. Healing vibes...

Came upon the scene yesterday. The guy was only a few hundred yards from the gate by the top of Cholla. Seemed strange that they would Medevac him, especially with an ambulance already on the scene. Injuries must have been pretty severe to warrant it. Hope he's alright.

Maybe he was coming down from that trail that flows into Lynx? You know that little hill right above the lynx trail head.

He was about 20-30 yards past that trail. When the rangers arrived they directed everyone to use that alternate hill to go around and give them room.

I saw it as well. We were at the top of Five Oaks when we saw the ambulances and ran up to moulton peak to get a better look. The chopper landed in the clearing next to Lynx.

Sounds like he is in good hands now. Heeling vibes to the rider

Helicopter took off over our heads as we crested Cholla around 10. Rider/witness said he was bleeding out of ears, mouth and eyes. Endo on main fire-road. Sounds like another case of sh**ty luck rather than bad mistake. Healing vibes, whoever you are.

Ouch, sounds like he went down hard. What exactly makes someone bleed out of their ears?

OUCH! I saw the copter turning low over the ridge when I was parking to climb Willow. Thought to myself that someone must be hurt. Heal fast!
