Ken is no rookie. He was sending it big in whistler at gravity camp in aug.

Scott, if you get to see him again give him a hug for me, would ya?

Do you know what kind of helmet he was wearing?
He was wearing a Giro Xen I believe. Cracked it in half on the back.

Def not a rookie. He's been down Rock-it hundreds of times. Just got to the last part of the rock section and piled hard. I didn't see him go down as I was farther behind.

Will do Tink. I'm going to try to get back to the hospital this afternoon.

Peace -

Wow. I'm kinda in shock.

That last bit of the rock garden is pretty sketchy. It's the one part that if you're wrong, you're gonna be in a lot of pain. I've been lucky several times there hauling through it without touching the brakes. I guess all I can say is that I hope he heals 101%, and that he's out biking again soon. My prayers today are for him and his family.

Don't know you or your friend, but every time I read or hear about a downed rider I feel a connection. This is absolutely horrible. I wish your friend all the best and a speedy recovery. +1 on everyone being careful. Very humbling indeed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ken and his family.

Let us know if there is anything that can be done for him or family during his recovery period. Help around the house, food, whatever...

head injuries are no joke. sorry to hear about your buddy. hope he turns out better than my sister. (recovery or death) living somewhere in the middle isn't good for anyone.

I will be praying for Ken. My teenage son had a brain injury and spent 10 days in ICU. The waiting and the unknown is very hard.
