What part hurts when you try to climb, and what kind of pain is it? Is it when you set it down or more when you push off with your foot.

Its a good chance its just badly bruised muscle. Are you icing it? I would say it things don't start to improve go get it checked out, but based on the pics and description it sounds like bruise , maybe even bone bruise but it it was fracture the pain would be more likely when putting weight on it.

R.I.C.E, and not the kind mudman loves. Seriously short of draining it you have no options.

Heal up quick and get back out there. Go to doc if you can.

went to the doctor, wouldnt drain it because its too high of a risk for infection, said it takes along time to reabsorb some times it takes people up to 3 years, was first told I couldnt ride yet, then I was told I could ride but if I fell on it I could burst it and be screwed, so Im looking for something I cant huck like another crossbike, and I may go tot he bmx track with shingaurds and just hope I dont blow it.
Seriously depressing that I cant just drain it and be done with it.

Rick, don't mess with a hematoma. If pieces of the dried blood or tissue break loose,it could wind up in the heart or worse,in the brain(aneurysm).Take your time, because it's going to take a while.Don't rush it because you might do more damage,and/or require surgery.Last year I had one in my right hip,and I was off the bike for two months.- Lloyd

I had a bad hematoma in my thigh and was told to wrap with a tight wrap. Seemed to make it go down much faster.

I had a bad hematoma from going over the bars at speed on San Juan Trail. A really good orthopedic surgeon told me that if you were going to drain it you needed to do it pretty early before it coagulates too much.

He told me that I could pretty much do whatever I wanted, but i don't remember what he said about riding. He did say that the thing to watch for was if the fluid in the hematoma started to calcify.

Good luck with your recovery. It only feels like forever.
