Default Fully Loop, of all places...OUCH!

I suffered a major OTB during the weekly Sunday AM loop...probably gonna be off the bike for at least a week or more.

Front tire washed out on a jump...landed HARD on my right side, shoulder first, then rolled. Feels like rotator cuff damage on the right side (cannot lift arm...too painful), and my right ankle is very swollen and discolored...can't walk on it. The pain was immediate within a few mins after going down, so it's definitely not soreness. I also injured my left rotator cuff a few years back and unfortunately, this feels the same. Which worries me because my left side never completely healed.

As for the ankle...I don't quite have complete range of motion. But it's too swollen and painful to really push it. I'll have to wait it out and see how bad it is.

And to think nobody got a picture. I did hear a chorus of "Ooooohhhhh!" so I know it looked pretty damn cool!

Be safe out there guys and gals....hope to be back on the horse soon.

There are definitely some parts of the loop that can really get even the experienced rider. Hope all turns out well, and you heal quickly!

I witnessed the whole thing from the perfect angle. It was in fact a pretty catastrophic OTB at a good rate of speed. Just the same, he finished the reset of the loop without crying!

which jump? I know a few of those are pretty narsty.

Also, the first rutted part of the singletrack after laguna is one of those loop features that can catch you off guard.

healing vibes to ya though. get better soon

Sorry to hear about that, Sean.

By the sound of it, you ought to have a doctor look you over... may be more serious than it seems. When Lorabee fractured her ankle, we both thought it was a minor sprain.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.

Too bad about your crash, I hope you get well soon. I separated my shoulder about the same time last year and missed most of the fun summer activities. A bad injury is never a good thing but to have it happen mid-summer is a little salt in the wound.

Heal up quick

I don't have health insurance. Otherwise, I would have gone already. I just can't afford it.

I just love America's standardized health ca...oh, wait...that's some other country.

Broken nose last month, now this! (and a deadly skin virus too) Hope you have a quick recovery and take it easy out there. Like you said, you don't have health insurance, so watch those jumps. Better yet, just avoid them.

What is it about the Loop?? Seems like everyone has a crash story to tell about a fateful fall there.

Here's to a speedy recover, Sean.

Hey, maybe you can get a twofer...have the doctor who checks out your OTB carnage take a quick gander at your scabies while he's at it

Seriously though, heal quickly
