Default My First Time ever crashing a bike

I was at the Switchback Women's clinic last Saturday.I was having a blast learning some really good techniques. We were going up and down a pretty steep but short hill.I went to go up my back wheel started to slip so I put pressure on the back wheel then my front wheel started to come up by the time I leaned forward I lost all speed and started to loose it.So I turn my front wheel to try and save it(key words try to save it)Fell to the right side landed on my shin and slid down the hill.I got up right away thought I was good.Finished the ride.Back at the park found my leg swollen 3 times bigger than normal and huge scratches on my shoulder, arm and elbow.Nothing broken thank god but I am in a world of pain. But thanks to RMESA1 for taking care of me hopefully I'll be on my bike soon. See Attached pics.

Tell Rudy to get you some "Brave Soldier" for your scrapes, and keep the cool-tropical (Captain-Morgan's/Malibu Rum infused) beverages coming, as they seem to help ease the pain

Walking away from a crash is a wonderful thing. You gained experience that may help you prevent a more serious fall in the future.

I'm glad you are ok. Sounds like the clinic really pushed you women to new levels.

Wow nice battle scars. All the carnage at the clinic means all the women were trying really hard! I was impressed at the happy faces as everyone was sharing their battle wounds. Makes me wish I tried a little harder. The only wound I had at the clinic was a bee sting...but my arm is swollen up and red pretty good.

Glad to help you out. Even with all the carnage all the ladies came back with smiles on their faces even the injured. Great job ladies.

Hey! Sorry to hear about your fall and glad nothing's broken! Sherri's scrapes are just as bad and she's got bigger bruises but the scrapes are healing well (see her thread for updates on her fracture). Though you had more swelling than she did when we left the clinic!

Hope you heal quickly!

Feel better soon!!! Then go back and kick that hill's butt! That's what I'll be doing... NOT! Haha! If you're not already, I'm sure you'll be back out there in no time.
