Another airlift from Chiquita Ridge
Well, this time it was someone else's turn to go OTB...I came upon the downed rider around 8:30am, just after the chopper touched down. I believe his name is Tom...according to his riding buddy, he hit a deep rut at speed, and went down hard. I was glad to be able to assist a few other riders in carrying the backboard about a 1/4 mile to the flat area where the chopper was able to touch down. Great job by OCFA and the OC Sheriff's Dept. They flew him to Mission Hospital. Just talked to Tom's buddy Pete and the CT scan and X rays appear to be negative.
Sorry for the crappy pics...cell phone camera was all I was carrying this time. Be careful out there everybody!
