Yesterday I left work alittle early to go midweek riding at LCWP w/bf. It was my third time there, and although it had been alittle challenging riding, I still really enjoyed it, and was able to do it. I was starting to see progress being able to stay on my bike more and make the climbs..feeling good.
We were making a loop, downhilling at Willow Canyon having fun, then I braked kind of hard on a rocky section but managed not to over handle bars, but falling onto my arm and side instead. Sore elbow, and alittle blood on knee, no big deal. I got right back up onto my bike and within seconds this time breaked too hard and probably going too slow, fell on same side but w/feet getting tangled up. I thought I'd just strained my ankle, but after going to the Dr. this am, Xrays, and Orthopedic Dr I fractured my distal fibula (ankle area) having to wear a removable cast. Disappointing, no Aliso ride tomorrow or biking for approx 3 weeks or so. Can't wait to ride again !! |

Sorry to hear, but there's been a lot worse lately. Call it growing pains?
