Default My wife crashed in Aliso Woods yesterday...

She was coming down Mathis after having a really good ride and was carrying a lot of speed for her level and her front tire caught in a rut and OTB she went... it was 20 minutes til dark so after we assessed her condition we got her up to ride the rest of the way out. Got her to our friends place; got her in the shower and all cleaned up and off to the ER we went just to make sure nothing was broken... good news is nothing is broken but she is sore as hell; her wrist is wrapped in an ace bandage and her opposite arm is in a sling due to her shoulder. Doctor says percocet and no work until Monday should do the trick for her! So this week she gets new hydraulic brakes and a larger front rotor... so she can ride another day!

If she can suffer the humiliation of having bandages on her face, Tegaderm will stop any of that from scarring.

Dude. Quit posting half-nekkid pictures of your wife on here!!

Tell her to rest up and heal. Glad her OTB experience wasn't any worse.

Ouch! Sorry I know how it feels to see your partner bite it.
Will has seen me drop out of the sky and bounce and I have seen here bite it a couple of time it sucks. My heart stops.

I hope she gets well soon and never stops riding.
The mandatory crashing will end and it will be smooth sailing from there on out.

Willie is now as much of a mountain bike freak as me. She loves riding.

Thanks... shes a Vet Tech so she has access to a lot of medical supplies she says she'll look into Tegaderm... right now she has the double antibiotic ointment the ER gave us on it. The doc said the abrasions on her face are superficial and wont scar.

Can I suggest lots of neosporin and crack open a few vitamin E capsules and apply to the wounds. Especially the face, it will cut down on any scarring.

Get well soon and I second the "lot's of beer" recommendation.

Interesting , my wife's a vet, her clinic is in Brea. Where does your wife work? Whatever happens, do not let her face wounds dry out and scab. Trust a guy who's gone down on his face on a road ride.

Ouch.....

Glad she did not break anything.

Make sure she keeps the wounds clean and goes to a Dr. at the first sign of infection. There's a lot a bacteria out in the wilderness.

Heal fast
