Sorry to hear that it is indeed broken. You are one tough dude to continue the ride. Hopefully the vitamin V helped you through the night.

I didn't see anything about a bike except in another post that mentioned a Slayer. And I have no idea what that is.

Oh. I thought that was his usual bike. Oh well. Heal fast and don't tell Maxwell your missing work because of a broken rib. He might find you and give you a big hug!

Gene: thanks for the call last night. Kristine and I were worried about ya. Let me know if you need anything. I'm only 10 minutes away...and I'm not shooting this week so if you need a drinking buddy, I'm there for you.

Ya it hurt a bit to take deep breaths. I knew we had a ways to go still. I'll be at Roscoe's this Thurs.

Thanks for stopping and making sure I was ok. It was good to meet and ride with ya.

Thanks Allison. Despite some discomfort during the ride, I had a blast. Just wish I had enough to finish out the ride with you guys.

That was too fun of a trail and I'm glad I did it. The pain wasn't that bad yet, but I was hurting by the time we got to the end.

It did, thank Margo for me. Could not have made it through the night without it. The beers and other "sweet" drinks helped too, I'm sure. I went to CVS last night and now I have enough to get me through this plus the Doctor prescribed some Naproxen as well.

Ya it was a demo. Rocky Mtn Slayer 70. Not the bikes fault. Funny because my crash happened at ZERO mph. I was going over a rock and could not pedal cause my legs cramped up and went over and landed hard on my side with my arm tucked into my side . Didn't have my seat lowered either, but I did for the rest of the ride. I'm going to write a reveiw of it tonight. I really liked it.

Thanks again all for all the well wishes. I'll be giving updates of my healing process.

Heal up, and feel better dude.

Gene,

I hope you have a speedy recovery. Atleast you'll get to catch up on the other stuff that mtn biking was taking your time away from.

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps you should change your warrior name to "Rides with broken bones"

Heal quickly!

Gene,

Don't laugh, don't sneeze, don't cough, don't grunt, don't force a fart, and don't roll over quickly in bed, or sit up quickly. Trust me on this, you have a lucky 7 weeks of this before you can do any of these things without it feeling like a knife in your ribs.

Ooops! Hope I didn't make you laugh, soooorrryyyy!

Get well... soon, or in 7 weeks, which ever comes first!
