Ouch! I wish your wife the best of luck with her recovery. I can certainly relate and sympathize as I too had a commuted displaced tibial plateau fx. Most, including myself have never heard of this type of injury until they or someone they know has it. Pain, lots of pain.Special thanks go out to my friends at Over The Bars Mountain Bike Club for all the encouragement and camaraderie. Have a great weekend! Chopper, I have an x-ray that looks very similar to your wifes. That was 12 years ago. I was back on a wind trainer in 8 weeks, Weight bearing soon after that. Carefull MTBing at 4 months. Running a 50 mile races at a couple years. Everybody's circumstances are different of course, but I recovered well from mine.
Things to remember during the next months. 1-Ice is her friend, I had and still have a circulating ice machine, you can borrow it if needed. 2-Be careful with crutches, a wheelchair is safer. 3-Excersise the other leg. 4-It can feel hopeless but it will get better, it just takes time. 5-The airport sensors won't go off. Give her my regards, and let her know it'll get better. Let me know if you need the ice machine. DW

Robin, does your wife know you are posting very naked pictures of parts of her body?
Hope Jane heals fast and without to much pain. So how's the dish washing going, and the laundry and the cooking and the vaccuming and the....oh well, you get it.
