My buddy used to work in ortho there. It's a good group of people. I'm sure it will work out very well. Only thing is, if you know anyone there, you might wake up with your toenails painted pink or something.

If RR hasn't told us what he's going in for, can we guess about what's getting cut until he gets back?

Heal quick!

Hey everyone, I am back home now. Only had to spend one night in the hospital. So here is the deal. I have been very overweight all of my life. When I was about 20 years old I decided that I wanted to join the military. Well at that time I was very obese. My highest recorded weight was 315 lbs. I was heavier than that but I started a job that was very active and started working out about 6 months before I weighed myself at that weight. I lost 109 lbs before I could leave for the Marines. I was 206 when I shipped out in 2003. About 2 years after I joined I got really sick and when I was at medical one day one of the doctors said I looked like I used to be very overweight. I told him the story and he said that he may be able to find a plastic surgeon to remove all of the excess skin that was left from my weightloss. Eventually he found a doctor who would do the surgery. In December of 2005 I had the first part of the surgery to remove the excess skin from around my stomach area. The surgery went well and I was supposed to get a second surgery to remove the excess skin from around my hips and back. The doctor ended up getting deployed and so did I in august of 2006. The doctor returned from deployment last october and arranged for me to have the last of these surgeries. So for now I am just recovering and I should hopefully be back to exercising in 3 or 4 weeks. I am pretty much stuck in bed. These surgeries are pretty painfull so I cant do much. I got plenty of percocet though so I am feeling pretty good. I wish they could have sent me home with the morphine drip but the wouldnt. At least i have my laptop and xbox to keep my entertained Ill be around and back to riding soon enough.

Dude... whatever you do, DON'T have that surgery... that doctor was born blind at birth!... Oh too late... just kidding, I'm sure the doc got his sight back in time.

Seriously, good to hear that yo're on the mend. I know how hard it is to just lay around and not do anything. Take some time and read The Ride (it's in the Pub section)... it won't be long before we see a slimmer you riding out there.
