Nice kankle.

Being off the bike sucks but having surgery because you should have stayed off the bike a little longer sucks a little more.

Hope everything heals up well.

I know you already have a positive attitude about this, which is great, but this sounds like even better news. Broken bones tend to heal better and faster than sprains or tears.

As your doctor will tell you, increasing blood flow really helps broken bones heal. I'd suggest doing as much exercise as you can (even if it's only upper body). Increasing your heart rate will increase the flow to the injured area and help it heal faster and better. You may want to consider putting your bike in a trainer, remove the left crank, and ride with only your good foot. It may help to rest your other foot on something.

Heal up!

Lee is right, bones heal faster than sprains. Hope they don't need to add any hardware. Healing vibes coming your way, and a big XO!!!

I think there's a 'Curse of Tunnel Trail'. It takes us newbie victims as a way of proving it's power. So once you've done one ride there, you're home free for all you future rides there, right?

So let's do it!

Hey Jeff sorry to hear about your pain, that really sucks, but better now then in the spring. If you really need a trainer, I'll sacrafice mine so you can get some exercise in.

Get well soon!

I can always go buy one but I know that once better I will never use it... Hopefully someone has one that does not use it, and will let me barrow it. If you use yours, I appreciate the offer but keep using it as you are training for CC... if you are not using it I will take it...

No need for a trainer... I just received a phone call from Santa Mann and was informed that I have an early Christmas gift that is on it's way. I did not know what to say except Thank you I was blown away and left about speechless... I have truely enjoyed becoming part of this community, getting to know many of you and taking part in many of great things that this group does for one another. It is not until you are on the receiving end of the generosity that it really sinks in... Just how many great people we have on this board and in this family. I continue to be amazed. I have always been one with a lot of aquaintences and a very few close friends, Over the last 10 months I have been very fortunate to add some very good close friends to the list...

I now return you to the normal Smart @$$ commentary

Bummer dood, but like the guy in the ER said broken tends to heal faster than sprained. Get better soon and we'll get back up to Tunnel and kick some ass.
