Yea I didnt go as big as most of you other guys but I was getting more and more confident after each run. Although I must say like what Luke said I did thank God after each run and when I did get back on the shuttle ride back up all I was thinkin was two things 1. this shuttle driver is getting real close to this cliff and 2. maybe I am pressing my luck with every run.

Ah man, that's a bummer. Kinda gotta fight club vibe happening so take advantage of it. Act edgy for a couple of days and then go ask your boss for an increase.

Hope you're not in too much pain. Take care, man.

Haha... if that was the case, I'd be posting pics of some busted up knuckles instead. Boston, kid!

Good call, I'll pull that tomorrow. Just saw the doc, looks like it'll heal fine and I won't need any plastic .

You know, I had just about the same cut to my lip back in 7th grade. I was playing a game of street football and took a hard hit and ate asphalt. Split my lip wide open, like someone took scissors and snipped it.

Went to the ER and they called in a plastic surgeon to stitch it back together--the ER doc said he wasn't good enough and didn't want to deform me for life. Since it was Easter weekend, it took like 4-5 hours for the plastic surgeon to get there.

I got a few internal stitches and 9-10 outside. Now there is only a small hairline scar you have to be looking for to see. Same place too--right side upper lip.

Well Brendan, I hope that's not your lasting memory of west coast riding! Make sure to do a few more fun, mellow, scenic rides before you head back to MA! It was nice meeting you! And hey, even if that leaves a scar, you got a cool mustache to cover it up.

Btw - The whole CHUBA thing is now as played out as "the shocker". Time for a new joke guys!!

I hope I'm not derailling the thread here, but...

I think everyone understands the boutique bike jabs are all in good fun (come on Chumba guys, the chuba thing is funny), but when someone gives you s#!t about your "big box brand" that happens to be all that you can afford, it kinda hurts.

It's fun to rip on the Shocker too -- mostly because they're ripping their customers off by making them think they're getting the same thing for less when they're getting something dangerous because it looks to the untrained eye like it can do more than it really can.

STR is like a infomercial for that brand. And folks call Turner owners Homers.

Don't get me wrong. It doesn't hurt my feelings! However, like most jokes it was pretty funny at first, but after hearing it like 95,748,379,543 times it just gets old and is no longer funny!

The next joke can be about Chumbas too if you guys want, just something new please!

Ok now back to Brendan's face--

EvilC you should rub Vitamin E on your wound I hear it helps with the scaring
