Good luck in your recovery and don't write off your 08 season so quickly. If you don't need surgery, you can be back on the bike on just 6-8 weeks. I've busted mine and it does hurt like heck, but that is one bone that usually heals fully with no long term problems.

Thumbs up Not a matter of if... only when!

I know you to be a very good rider and understand your disappointment in not making that section... sometimes, it's the simple ones that are unexpected.

Know that you'll be missed by the Tribe. The bad news: you won't be able to ride for a while. The good news: we'll get to read a lot more of your posts on these boards.

If you just snapped it in half like i did (a few years back) then you'll just wear a harness thing to pull your shoulders back to get it as close to normal as possible... better to break it mountain biking then playing capture the flag at school >.< hope healing goes by fast and you're on the bike again soon

Brad you are one tough cookie. You didn't even wince in pain when I touched your clavicle to check if it was broken. I thought it was just a dislocated shoulder. Heal quick man.

I am only three weeks behind you. There is now way our 08 season is ruined. This is just a little lag in training. You should be riding again just about the time we switch to 08 calendar.

That sucks that you are hurt.

sorry Brad, you've got some skill launching that section! I've thought about it everytime I see but then my inexperience always says dont do it.

heal fast!

Looks like you hurt the right side, so if your right handed, now is a good time to get better with the left!

Default Sincerely, your posts mean a lot to me

You guys are great and you really raised my spirits with all the posts here...in spite of the fact that I'm just a downhill web kook. Thanks so much.

First thing I did was start calculating the impact this would have on "my season", but what I forgot to factor in is the extra time I would be spending with my family and friends while on the mend. The other thing I forgot to factor is the impact it's not having on my life: think Tara Llanes. I just have a busted collar bone--get over it dude!

I really wanted to put on a show out there. Good start, bad ending. Oh well.

I wish Chocula well, too. Sounds like he took a pretty bad one.

Goofed up on breakfast sausage, syrup, and vicodin. Cheers
