That kid is going to need goggles with the dust being kicked back. That picture says a lot about family. I wish my mom and dad did things like this maybe they would lasted more than three years. My thoughts are a family that plays together stays together...that rocks!!!!! Although I would not do the tandem thing, buts thats cool

totally agree. that's why i'm so militant about us having family time and going on our nature walks...until the kids get older and can ride alongside we'll do the walk get them used to being in the "wild" lol

I wish someone would have fed me applesauce at Beek's place....

Seriously, Adam was very well behaved and it was kind of funny to see him get upset when his parents stopped riding. He is a slave driver that kid...

Totally agree with others that Adam is a really good kid. When I'd ride by, he'd be in the trailer playing with his toys (no whinning that I heard) while his mom and dad just peddaled away. The family that plays together, stays together...

Major props to Carbonman and Sugar momma for doing the tandem and trailer... great to see and fun to ride by.

Default Family Fun!!!!!

Thanks for the photo and the kind words. We truly love to ride together, and Adam does occasionally have his moments, but he did GREAT on Saturday. We are so proud of him!!! And he is SUPER CUTE (BIASED HEAVILY HERE!!!) Patrick and I will keep on riding, Adam in tow. We look forward to more great moments/rides like these. These times make great memories, and that's what it's all about. Oh- I guess we need to come up with a username for Adam- Patrick and I will get to work on it!

Soon enough Adam will be blowing past mom and dad on the uphill climbs. Just look at Maxwell's kids! They were flying!

Keep those pics as evidence. Maybe when you get old Adam will tow you and Patrick up the hills!!

I'm waiting for the day in the not too distant future when Adam goes for a jump or other stunt and nails it, looks back at me and says "C'mon Mom, it's easy"

Major props to organizers and riders alike. This is the biggest "web event" I've ever seen. George, STR has come a long way since I ran into you Turnbull a few years ago, huh? I'm going to have to start watching the STR site more closely. Been out of town every other week on business for the last 3 months so it's been hard to do anything other than nearby training rides. Hope to join the crowd soon on another ride.

I was just talking about that ride at Turnbull today at lunch with kevin (xhuskr) and bret (guero). At that point STR was very young. It was very exciting to run into someone that already knew of and had been on STR. Major thanks for letting me tag along and slow you down that day. I was still a newb then and learned a lot from that one ride. Thanks, Pete

It is, 2 different locations. If you want to ride to Beek's, here is the geoladders link,

http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=175

29wheels has a ride posted for the 29th. Bring lights cause it's a 6pm start. Makeable in 2 hours for sure, but just incase of mechanicals or you don't want to hurry back down.
