Default RR: Biking in the Santa Monica Mountains

2 teachers do 5 rides in 2.5 days on a camping trip. Sorry if it gets boring

Ride 1 was just a warm up at Cheseboro off the 101 Freeway

A little curve on a fairly flat section

and again

Shrek kicking up some dirt

Random photos at Cheseboro

short grind

Cheseboro Trail trash

Shrek replenishing himself

On to a guided tour thru Sycamore with Doug and Craig as our guides. Only a couple photos, but priceless memories of singletrack climbing above the clouds and a thrill ride descent.....oh .......and Hell Hill

Beginning

Middle

fun downhill

the group

End (before black bitch)

Will continue on next post(s)

Default Biking in the Santa Monica Mtns-last

Final day was planned to have pure fun with lots of photos...so off to Sullivan Canyon we went. We found this place last year and just loved the fun. Since we had been riding the last couple days and had to be back home with our families soon, we decided to end on a fun note...Here we go

rollin' it

let's go back up and try it again

much better photo

Shrek's turn (big guy for a big roll)

dip and up with air

dip and up without air

last year....he walked it.....this year........nailed it!

having fun now

Trip was over......final count;
miles = approx 70
ft of climbing = approx 11,000
mechanicals of any kind = 0!!
injuries: bruised ribs, cut nose and cracked helmet and numerous scratches
fun factor = priceless

thnx again for our guides and all the friendly people we met along the way!!

That is so cool... a bunch of guys getting together and riding and laughing and a little beer thrown in to complete the day. Photos show how much fun you guys were having and isn't that what it's all about.

Missed you at the Beek's ride... but good job anyway!
