Each year, I find myself out in the desert for Thanksgiving since my parents have a house in Rancho Mirage. It is becoming a tradition to ride from my house to the trailhead in Cathedral City (approx. 6 miles each way). So...nonetheless, I decided to head out on this beautiful Thanksgiving Day. I started the ride with my pops to the gate of our country club and off I went. Of course the ride of Dunn Road was....well, relentlessly steep and loose for most of the time. After adjusting to the heat at Dunn's Desert Oasis, I was off to Hahn's. Although I had a blast... I found Hahn's to be a lot looser than usual. We really need some rain. After the glorius decent with the view of San Jacinto in the background, I reached the bottom of my journey to the valley floor. I then headed over to Cindy's (one of my most favorite trails in the Palm Springs area)... To my surprise, the trail looked to be unridden for a while. The brush was a little annoying, but after a short climb, I knew why I came this wayAfter some nice chunk and tech sections, I was stoked and ready to eat some turkey. All in all, it was 27 miles w/ 3000' of climbing. What a great ride.... Here are some photos I took during my solo expedition. Tomorrow... Palm Canyon Epic Baby
