I have been wanting to ride this trail for a long time and finally got to do it this morning with Alex. It was a bit hot riding up Skyline today, but it was definitely worth it coming down. Bought a GoPro yesterday. Amazing camera purchased from the best shop around!!! (shameless plug for Tani, Brian, and everybody at The Path).

This trail definitely delivered.

Really fun and flowing. Not super tech but had some steep goodness in a few sections. The last descent was really loose and sandy at the top, but other than that, it was awesome!!! The trail lived up to its name for Alex (DNA samples), but he definitely stepped it up today. Great job Alex!!!

Sorry no pics, but I will post a video later once I figure out how to edit it.

Definitely waiting for some rain before I go back. I will be dreaming about this trail with tacky dirt and cool temps.

Ya, fun trail for sure, but I would imaging it much looser and hotter than when we went several weeks ago. I had a GoPro mounted as well. makes it look tame. I'll wait for cooler temps and much needed rain before I head up again.

Rockinthecasbah- I will let you know next I ride there. I always enjoy riding with somebody who knows the area better than I do.

thats my fav. when it comes to skyline trails...
fast n fun... but the ride up in the truck is a lot better
not so hot....

gunna ride there again this weekend.

I shot some video there when I was testing out my new camera rig a handful of months back and I was amazed how the essence of that trail is lost on video.

Ya, check out the video we did on it. Doesn't show the steepness of the trail at all. Skinsuit
