Default Monday after work ride

The local boys and I got a rare opportunity to do a weekday ride after work. We met at the end of the trail at 3pm. This is a great time to do a ride in the summer because we drive up to high elevation when it is hot and descend as it cools down. By the time we get back to lake level things have cooled down. I tried to get some pics of sections I don't usually shoot. First stop was a small log ride.
Scotty

Danno

It turned out to be a little difficult for them even though I showed them how to do it several times

On to more singletrack.

Danno got a little redemption from a certain video I recently posted.

He pulled it off only to lay it down 50 feet down the trail

More pics on the lower sections. Scotty and Danno hitting the gunsight.

Wall ride shot.

Enjoy

Thumbs up

Yeah, Jeff... another nice RR! Love the action photos, especially the sequence of Danno (plus the vid).

How far is this route from the lake?

It ends right near the lake.

We still had plenty of light left. It starts up at Shirley Meadows.

Thanks Jeff, Awesome photo's! I'm definitely going to have to make another trip up in your area for the awesome rides. Gotta make sure to allocate a few days to spend up there. The overnighter just was not enough.

Can you imagine, Nick? I'm stoked if I can hit the Loop any given evening.

Yes I feel pretty lucky. This is only 10 minutes from my house and my work. 15 miles or so. Perhaps 1000' of climbing, 5500' of descent. 3 to 4 hours riding time. Not bad at all.

WAKE UP DT! I'm glad I could help you out there. If you are able to get up here more than once a year I can show you this stuff. So many trails, so little time. I think you would really like it. It is nothing too crazy but it is good fun.

By the way, what is a "stumber" ? I think you must have meant slumber or stupor. Either will work.
