Default Riding clinic 11/3

A few of my teammates are putting on a clinic this weekend:

Come join Team Sho-Air presented by Rock N' Road Cyclery, Saturday November 3rd for
a riding clinic at Aliso Woods Park in Laguna Niguel, CA. This one day class focuses on core bike skills and proper bicycle setup to help hone your riding skills, while improving on safety. The class is designed for the Level II rider who has some moderate riding experience and fitness. It is not a class that caters to a pure beginner. The course is designed to brush up on technique and riding skills, while enjoying some riding time with Team Sho-Air members.

A Level II rider will learn the following:
* Basic bike setup
* Positioning, balance, maneuvering, braking, and shifting
* Riding up and down ledges and drop-offs
* Cornering
* Switchbacks
* Steep climbing and descending
* Riding in loose sand or gravel

The riding clinic will feature Sho-Air team leader and 4-time U.S. National Cross-Country Master Champion Johnny O’Mara. Johnny will be joined by the nation's #1 and #2 ranked semipro cross-country riders: Ty Kady and Manuel Prado. Learn secrets that have made them some of the most promissing amateur racers in the U.S.

Class size will be limited to insure proper attention is given to each rider.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
* 9:00-9:15 a.m.--Arrive at Rock N' Road Cyclery of Laguna Niguel--272881 La Paz Rd. Ste N, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677; (949) 360-8045. Bagels, coffee, etc. will be served.
* 9:15-10:00 a.m.--Presentation on bike setup and maintenance by Shimano Certified Mechanic Manuel Prado. In addition we will address items needed to be properly self reliant when out riding on your own or in a group.
* 10:00-10:30 a.m.--Open Floor. Here is the time to ask questions!
* 11:00-1:00 p.m.--Riding Clinic in Aliso Woods.

It's worth it even it was 50.00. Johnny O is the man! He once beat the 500cc motocross world champion on a 125cc honda. Dave Thorpe was the 500 champion in Europe. The O show rules!!!!
