When I raced, 6-7 days was necessary for me to stay competitive; now that I just pretend, 4-5 days does the job.

For me, the closet place to actually hit a trail is a good 20 min drive. For the good stuff, its about an hour. Hard to do when, many days I don't get done working until 5-5:30. Once I nut up and shovel out some money for a carrier, it'll be a bit easier though.

I recommend the fully loop. If you park at the courthouse you can hit a few good TRIALS and then maybe go riding afterwords.

During the spring and summer 4/5 times a week, now I'm lucky to get in 3 days. Freekin smoke, work, and a family that deserves some of my off time, just doesn't leave a lot for biking.

Used to be Sundays only. Then added the Thursday Loop.
Now it's as often as possible, which works out to about four days a week.
Commuting is in my future.

i'm on my bike everyday to get to work and school, 4 miles each way to work, 7 from school to work, 3 back on my fixed gear commuter. I typically mountain bike 3-5 times a week although school kicked up a notch so i've been way more tired. I'm doing my second XC race this weekend and am loving it. and btw I'm doing it on a 32lb 6" all mountain bike but with some faster XC tires on it.

Not so much the quantity but quality of the ride. There are weeks I ride everyday, averaging 10-15 miles and there are weeks I ride 4-5 times, but with a 30 mile epic thrown in or a ride with lots of climbs. Sometimes I ride twice in the same day. Point is, I ride till I feel spent then I recover 1 maybe 2 days depending on what I rode the day before, but I usually ride on average about 80 miles a week. 2 weeks ago before the fires, I rode 132 miles.

Currently 2x a week but am planning on kicking it up to 3x. I also do a lot of stretching.

Anywhere from 12-25 hours a week, with weight training and running thrown in on the shorter weeks. At the minimum, I'm on my bike 5 days a week.

I have been off the bike for almost 2 weeks, with my work, kids and the early darkness; well I don't ride enough. I'm going to try the riding and quit making excuses not to ride.

5 - 7 days a week consisting of climbing and descending. Rinse and repeat 3 or so times. Thanks to a new light and some cold weather gear I can still ride.
