Cool. I don't know much about cross; do you have to dimount over the obstacles, or do you have the option of riding over them?

Its too easy to squash the berries when you jump back on like that. I've had some eye watering experiences. Grown men cry at such a sport.

Some promoters dictate mandatory dismounts.
Some will place barriers 2 and 3 deep to discourage bunny hopping.

It's fun when you can side saddle up to a dismount, suit-case or shoulder the bike over and gently set it back down w/o dropping your chain then flying-remount w/o losing much pace. Fun to watch too.

Takes a little practice but once you get the steps down and the rythm it's doable. And fun!

The flying remount comes in handy XC racing and trail riding too.
