I won first place in beginner 19-24!

YEAH!

*I was the only person in that class lol

FUN course, way better than anything I've seen locally. The singletrack rocked, and the climbing wasn't steep at all. When i finished I wished I had done sport so I could do another lap.

However, Running Springs has forgotten one thing in their lovely community.

Oxygen. I was dying today and couldn't breathe the first couple miles.

Congratulations David! Doesn't matter that you were the only one in your class, you still get bragging rights!

Hey great job guys! That xc course was uber steep!

Maxwell you should have gone! It was a 3-mile course ... really laid back and fun. Great way to start the race "season." Well, for me anyway ... after the Hell Ride I needed a break, and this was a perfect back-to-racing race.

There were no expert women there, so I decided to try and beat the sport and beginner men and women and go up against the pro woman there (Michelle Rivera). I beat all the sport and beginner men and women, and I was less than a minute behind half of the expert men. I was 20 seconds behind the pro woman. My time was 18:41. So, I felt pretty good in the end, but I think I could definitely work on my sprinting abilities (or lack thereof). I am sorta used to long, medium paced rides. :-) The Ellsworth Epiphany was great fun - I love that bike!

Do you think they'll do Super D at the next Rim Nordic race?

Thumbs up

Nice job Sauce!

I told you you'd like racing up there!

I think if the turnout was worth the work they put in to mark the course (Super D), they'll probably go with it.

The Brown's really put on a GREAT series, and if they know they'll get the entrants, I think they'll go with a Super D series.
