I just today realized it's women's OPEN! That means I have to race against every other Sport woman no matter the age class.

I hope no old chicks show up.

Your best bet for the course is to find out if Brandon, J, or Sharky can show you around one evening. We pre-rode with a guy familiar with the area and he said he had a few problems following J's map!

They also may have the course marked on Saturday for anyone that is out there.

i'm headed out there right now, but the last i hear from some guy at incyle was that the course might be marked as early as thursday. i think i'll be riding it then as well, and once on saturday

We should be riding it this week let me know if you want to join. (pm for # exchange) Probably around 4 or 5 but it gets dark early now so no later. Brandon is only 15 so when I go he goes since he can't drive yet.

I went out there today like I said, and the single track at the very end of the lap is getting progressively worse. You can clearly see where other bikes have worsened the trenches or rutts near the cactus Apparently I was real close to pulling cactus out of my bro today at that part.

The fire department volunteers (?) were out there today with a wood chipper cleaning up the fire road climb on the back half of the lap and laying a lot more of it down on the road itself. boooo

but im fighting for it.. ill ride myself down there if i need to
but im racing fer sure no matter what even if i have no permission.... and hopefully me and sharky will get out there this week

Just got back from doing a quick lap at Bonelli, still no course markers. If you plan on riding it tomorrow, don't count on it being marked before 9 or 10 in the am.

I'll be in my Path jersey on a rasta Dos Niner! Hubby is wearing a red Descente jersey and on a red Sir 9. We're both racing sport.

my brother and myself will be in that class as well. take it easy on us. I'll say hi to you if I see ya. I'll be sportin the sleeveless black jersey.


BTW, they have the course marked now. Just did a lap with my bro and we ran into one of the SCVelo guys who gave us a good run down of what's happening tomorrow. Apparently the start/finish line is in the grass but it looks like it's going to start going up hill, and that's some thick grass. He said they raked the singletrack at the very end, but doesn't think it'll stay that good for tomorrow with people out there today. It was much better today though, they even have some caution tape near the cactus, and a quasi neon orange fence after the second single track after the tractor at the beginning.


I asked him if they expect one or two crashes tomorrow, he said "oh probably a couple more than that"
