Anybody here ever raced a GP on their moto? I keep thinking that it would be a cool format for a mountain bike race. The format is natural off-road terrain, asphalt and an MX track on each loop. For mountain bikes you could combine 4x, downhill and cross country. Just thinking out loud.

I think they call that Super D, except 4x isn't included.

I'd be more interested in 4X DH with big, wide berms and ultra-tight singletrack. That could be ugly.

Yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of super-D with a 4x section thrown in and done as a loop course.

A couple of the Super D races I've done have some of these elements, though they are point to point, not a loop. The Super D at Fontana is ok, it's definitely not what Super D was intended to be. I was reading somewhere about Mark Weir's travels to France, where he competed in a MTB Enduro race. This thing sounded like a blast! Anyone else remember reading about this?
