Scheduling for The Traverse 2008

Warrior's Society would also appreciate feedback on when to hold next year's Traverse (200. Here's your chance to be heard!

Options:

1. May 10th (1st saturday)
2. May 17th (2nd saturday)
3. Other (post when and why)

If you have other feedback on the Traverse go ahead and post it since they'll be reading this.

I vote for the 17th.....seeing as the event director, the timing director, finish line helper and course marshall will all be outta town on the weekend of the 10th......I think you catch my drift.

The earlier, the better, but May 11th is Mother's Day.

Events for 2008 aren't posted yet, but there is a tentative date of Sea Otter on April 17-20th.

And, if we are to go by this year's 24 Hr dates, they will probably be held the last few weekends of April as well (within 2 weeks or so of the Sea Otter). As if everything is predictable

Given those factors, I'd say May 17th sounds like a safer date (I know that I may try another 24Hr event and would only be tempted to try some long distance thing with a bit of rest in between.

That means you would have to be pampered twice as much on Sun.

The Idyllwild Spring Classic is probably going to be around those dates. It was held on May 12 this year.
It would not be good to have both races on the same date.
I personally like the idea of the first weekend of June.

I vote for any weekend there's a DH race going on so that I have a good excuse not to do it!
