traverse: race hardtail or light full suspension

I would definatly be giving my tire selection a lot of consideration, I did the first half of the ride, blackstar to 4 corners on Saturday. The 2.1 I was running just didn't cut it all, that said I have to blame the tire rather than the size. There are some very loose fast corners, I was bummed having to scrub speed to make corners. I was running the pressure fairly low too, but than you're creating rolloing resistance

whats the tire choice on this? was going 2.1, larsen rear, ignitor front. but if its loose i may switch for a bit more bite....

I think the Larsen TT is about the best tire you can find for those conditions. A lot of people are thinking the Small Block 8's are a fairly good tire, but I've started to hear, maybe it's not as good as first said to be. Myself I'll give a little speed for better control and I'd beef up to a 2.5. Maybe a Fat Albert (Schwalbe) or a Maxxis Mobster XC version.
