Thumbs up Deraded hill climb.

It's that time of year again.

Come out for some fun and prizes to sweat the beer out of your system from St. Patricks day.

Tough call. I would have to run 32 X 26 or so.

Dreaded is a mental mental climb. Super super steep nearly all the way. I wouldnt even think of doing it on a SS.

Hey Steven,

I was thinking of SSing it, especially since I sold my Yeti ASR-SL last week!
You want to go preride it soon?
32x18 = 26"
32x20 = 29"

The first section is so steep that you struggle to keep the front wheel on the ground. I recon it'd be quicker to run up the hill carrying the bike!

Well Keith, you'd get DQ'd then if you're running. I believe the rule is you can't make any forward progress that isn't done by pedaling. That's why this race is freakin' hard on a SSpeed. Because it's really hard to restart.

Is it me or did this event used to free? But heck it's a fundraiser for Share right.

Last year was not free, but you did have a chance to win gift certificates worth the entry fee.

Plus, I have to admit, I LOVE SHARE events; especially their raffles--I always get something (until I jinxed myself today).

Thumbs up

I did it last year on my STINKY!

I wasn't the fastest or the slowest, but I DID have the heaviest bike there.
Lacey should be able to tag along with me this year, so add one more girl to the list.
She's never ridden Dreaded, so she may get a "little" surprise........

Sounds good to me.
I was doing that ride after work in the mornings last year to get ready.
Up Dreaded
over to SST, to Old Camp
down the Luge
and back through Whiting.

Lot's of good climbs, and descents all around.

Uh, I guess we should be setting this up on the Trail Head forum.......

Be careful. I have a buddy who got into the losing end of a head-on when climbing dreaded. Broken hand & a taco wheel.

OK. I guess there are conflicts with the origional date so it's on hold for now. As soon as the new date is decided upon I will let everyone know.

Now there is time to practice!!!
