They are listed on the Sea Otter lodging site. We got a double bed room for $62 a night.
We may be going up next weekend Feb 18-19 for a pre-ride. She's out of school for Washington's B-Day, we'll be leaving Sunday morning and comming back on Monday afternoon. We may just take the big tent and camp.
If any of you guys are interested let me know.

She did once. Tani lent his rigid 29'er to her for a ride around what we call the horse trails close to our house, (think Fullerton loop, except here in Tustin) and she said she had fun. I asked her if she thought she'd like to go to Aliso and go up Cholla, and down Rocket on it, and without hesitating she said "NO"!
She's like her ol' Dad....she likes gears!

We are going up this weekend, leaving here Sunday, and comming back on Monday. Found this place on-line,

called them up, and got such a good rate, $48 for Sun night, that we're staying there now for the race weekend. It's $58 a night for the race weekend.

After going up there this last weekend, and staying at the Good Nite Inn, we went back to the Laurel Inn Laurel Inn motel & Conference Center and made reservations for there.

Okay, who's planning the STR party at the Otter. Cause we got enough people to have one now.

I'm going but not racing. I'm organizing a bunch of clinics and get to meet guys like Shaums March and Kirt Voreis who'll be teaching. Plus I've never been to the Otter so all that means I'm super excited. Kind of wish I were camping to get the full experience... and yet I'm glad I'm staying at a friend's house where there's a warm bed and a hot shower.

Allright, folks, what's the fastest way to drive up there? Take the 5 and then cut towards the ocean at some point?

My family and I are camping there from Thursday to Sunday and were planning a "gathering" with a disco theme on the Friday night.
We will be grilling each night anyway so we figured a little bbq, Bee Gee's and bevies for anyone interested!
The plan is from 6pm to 10pm- some are racing Saturday am and the dico ball will quit spinning at 10pm - hang out, eat, introduce, reconnect and see who looks best in polyester
If you are interested let me know and I can post up our campsite # so plan on bringing something to grill, a chair, a bev of choice- I will have some Don Julio to loosen things up!- and some 70's threads...anyone have some white leather size 12 shoes? I wish STR could just transplant up here. We're starting to get to know other rides but nothing comes close to the STR family. The riding is awesome around the Central Coast. And how curious drivers are to riders on the road is mind blowing! I feel like I'm on a different planet from Orange County.
So yeah... the comfy pull out couch mentioned above faces that nice big window. Anyone that wants to crash before Sea Otter is totally welcome!!!

I'm heading up thurs and staying through Sun night. I'll be at campsite A110. Last year we had a great heckling party. It over looks the course and, with a few beers, we got a little obnoxious! It was a BLAST!!!
Thanks to NorCal's KMax who donated 2 kegs to the campsite!!! Yeeeeehaaaw! Hope to see you there.
I might end up at the Crank Bro's party too. That should be a lot of fun.
