I havn't race'd since the last race in BB. Thinking about doing fontana. Which bike to ride? I have a fr2000 6 in" travel bike or ride the domanatrix. What do you guy's normaly ride with? if you have 2 bike's? I heard the wall suck's. WE might pre ride next week.

I think you might have more fun on the big bike. But you will post a better time on the small one.

I have seen more than a handful of good riders picking themselves up off the ground racing smaller bikes. To each their own, but I run the big bike, and normally run better times than the guys running smaller bikes in my class. IMO you lose so much momentum up top in the rocks on a small bike.

I think I'll bring the big bike and run it stiffer. That thing hate's to do anything but go down. I tried to ride it on the street with my daughter and had to get the small bike after 5 min.

Ross, by the way you pedaled at Mt. SAC, you have nothing to worry about!

Anyone that's racing this, we should meet up on the 18th and try to get some practice together, or at least introduce ourselves.

Thumbs up STR turnout??

Don't forget bout the xc part of the race on Sat. the 18th. I'll be there to watch friends including the B-rad Brandon...sure hope they have a raffle.
Race link:

Rode the course today with B-rad and some of those sections are seriously loose and sandy. Hope they do some work before the race.

He may have a raffle going. If you're an SRC member, he holds an end of the year banquet where everyone comes away with stuff. Last year I got some armor, a t-shirt, set of tires and some tubes.

As for the XC course, I'm afraid rain is the only thing that will help at this point.
