Yes I do happen to know who they are...because I have the results list. #60 is Michael Beck, and #32 is Ben Bostrom. Both are extremely accomplished street bike racers! We are extremely excited with all that came out to enjoy the race and we thank everyone!!!

Also results are now posted and we apologize for the delay we were having with the results but we got them finally posted here: http://www.racersandchasers.com/Results.html

We got pictures and there is some more also posted here

Thanks again to all who came out and helped make this event a success. Just be ready as we roll up our sleeves again to make the next event even better!

Great to see results up! Huge thanks to qua77ro to coming up to my house at 545 to get up there and shoot the event. Also, a thanks to my finace for the god feed on my Extremely Slow 2nd lap!

I think I met SDYeti in the pits talking about the scholastic league.

We are EXTREMELY proud to announce that we are writing a check to the So Cal Interscholastic league for $255. It will go into a scholarship fund to be delegated out to needing kids for either bikes and or entry fees!

We look forward to raising even more money at the next two events!!!

Just a thought. I'm a part of a car club that hosts a very large annual get together in Socal (think car show without the competition) and we are lucky enough to get sponsorship from vendors and lots of donations of parts/services/etc. I'm pretty new to the MTB community so I don't know how willing vendors/shops would be to assist, but an easy way to raise money for a good cause is to get vendor donations to support a non-profit raffle.

So fun seeing the pro DH/4X racers moving into Super D like Dale Holmes (my 4x guru) and Waylon Smith. Man those guys were hauling butt!!! All of you looked great and were having fun.
Excellent photos on this thread .

(sorry for hijack but was the closest related thread)

yea I saw you posted up there and yelled "Ah man SANDTRAP!!!!" you can see my front wheel slide but I saved it..... barely was much faster thru there on my 2nd lap no issues

I did not show up with the intention of shooting the XC event... it was a bit of random coincidence that I made it there at all. But as the race was starting and I realized what was going on I started shooting anyway. Then of course I forgot I had taken the photos - OOPS. Anyway... here's some more photos for you racers to check out...
http://www.christopherwood.smugmug.c...17941219_4DiDP
The photos will finish uploading sometime Saturday night.

Its time for the well deserved meal that we all look forward to that is Thanksgiving. With the upcoming rain we have a lot to be thankful for including tacky trails once again! So get your bike ready and come out and race with us. For those returning from the first race bring your number plates as they serve as your number for the series. Otherwise you will get to spend more time with "Reg Mom" and her turkey day follies, and have to race with a paper plate. So be sure to bring your cool leather number plate with you!

We are also going to having Super D at this race so bring your pads and get ready for a great time. The Super D race will start at noon so be sure to show up early to catch the shuttle to the top. Plus if you sign up for both XC and Super D you will save $10 on the total cost.

Also remember that we have a Cannondale bike to give away at the last race as well as $500 off an Intense frame courtesy of Cycopath, and $1000 off of a new Ellsworth frame courtesy of IE Bikes. You will get separate raffle tickets at the last race for each event that you enter. So Super D and Cross Country each count toward a ticket. There will also be a raffle after this race for lots of stuff like Cannondale gear as well as wine tasting tickets to Keyways winery.

The handmade leather awards and number plates are awaiting you as well as a little something extra from us to you this holiday season. We received such cool responses to the number plates and awards that we added some quotes to the website. So be sure to look for your quote and more great reasons to come out and have a great time with us!

Wishing you a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day from all of us at Racers and Chasers!

Let us know what the trails are like, I've got to believe the rain has them perfect!
Maybe some info on the course du jour will be this weekend?
