Default Hillbilly Bike Bash and Racers and Chasers

It is true, its time to get some dust on the tires and race in the Hillbilly Bike Bash! It is set to be a great weekend with XC Super D and DH racing all in one great location. It will be held at the pristine riding playground of Vail Lake Resort in Temecula the weekend of November 8-9. Besides all of the great racing there will be live music and good 'ole Hillbilly games for all to enjoy.
The XC race will hosted by your Racers and Chasers staff and for the Winter Holiday Shootout Series we will be starting out of the go kart track area. This will still be a three race series with the dates being Nov 8-9, Nov 29th, Jan 1st. All races will be on Saturday with a 9AM race start. Registration will open at 7am each race day.

We would also like to thanks Redhawk Engineering for stepping up and sponsoring the Winter Holiday Shootout race series. With there help they are insuring a great racing experience for all to enjoy as much as they have. Thanks for supporting us Redhawk Engineering!!

We are currently accepting sponsorship for the race series and look forward to talking to all interested parties.

Be sure to check out the websites for more info on the races!

Default Update!!

There is a lot new here at the base camp for the weekends activities. First off we have 2 new trails that we will be using for the race this coming weekend. Second we have several HUGE discounts on frames for the racers that win in the raffle.! Lastly we have finally got some rain which will help out with the new trails at Vail Lake .

I would like to thank all that help helped out tremendously with the construction of the trails. "Tarantula," the latest trail is a super fun connector that basically connects "Bridges to Tunnel." It has multiple switchback corners and 2 rock options, and to top it all of, we added a new 8ft bridge. Over 50hrs of trail work from our wonderful volunteers that have gone into this trail for all to enjoy!

The Industry has got behind all that is happening out at Vail Lake and they are showing it by giving back through our race series. First off we have Intense Cycles and Cyco-Path Bike shop that have agreed to give a $500 discount on your choice of a new Tracer frame. Then we have a $1,000 off of a new Ellsworth frame courtesy of IE Bikes. This is all on top of the complete R7 giveaway bike from Cannondale and Red Hawk Bikes. We are still working on other raffle prizes to be given away on the 3rd of January. What better way to start the New Year!

Thanks to all that continue to give back!

To top it all off we have been working feverishly into the nights to make your custom hand made leather number plates created solely by your Racers and Chasers Staff!

We all look forward to having everyone out to have a great weekend this weekend at the Hillbilly Bike Bash!

Ahh the Basic route...trying to get me to spill the beans on the race course. Ok Fine here it goes:

Start by the Gokart track, go up Bridges, take new trail "Tarantula" which drops in to the top of tunnel. Tunnel to Vics loop, behind the RC Car track and up to "Slingshot." From slingshot over to "Gunslinger" that drops in behing the RC car track and finish by the go kart track for 1 loop.

Lots of singletrack and fun all while avoiding the Shuttles and DH pickup!

Beginner will be about 7-8miles
Sport 14-16
Expert-Pro 21-24

I do not require a license so you can enter any class to race whatever distance you want. To be eligible for the 100% Pro Payback you must have a current Pro license.

More riding of single track sounds like more fun!

Just rode the course today and it is going to be great. Tons of fun and lots of great single track.

Thanks to all who have helped out with the trails!

the decision was easy for me.

Sport! I figure since I may not head out there soon, might as well get as much riding in as possible.
