I just had the craziest ride! I did a narly uphill climb for forty five minutes then by the time we hit the top it was dark. If it weren't for the fact that it's almost a full moon I would of walked down, it would of been too dark. There was a hint of light though so you could see which way it went. Crazy single track down! I don't have depth perception in the dark either so I couldn't see rocks very well and couldn't see roots at all. I was truly riding the trail by feel. The way I directed myself was had my b/f ride in front of me and watched how much his bike bounced. It was some wicked training on the skill scale. I did crash
I was in a turn and hit a rock nose on went over the handlebars and landed right on my chest. I'm ok, but my right lung is a bit tender. All in all it was fun and good training! |
