I’ll ask you that later but first I’ll ask you this....…is anyone riding Rim Nordic this weekend, either Super-D or XC?
OK, bonus trivia question, what band did I poach these lyrics from? Smitty |

I want to do it because I love that course. But it's a bit far.
![]() It's the Autumn Cup right? I went last year and there wasn't anyone there compared to the series they just held. I did make the local paper though. ![]() So yeah, anyone else going? Maxwell? |

Thinking about XC on Sunday. Gonna use it as my hard workout for the week or just go hit the BB Classic course instead.

A bit of an update - If you're planning on running the Super D at Rim this weekend, bring an aggressive tire.
Almost the entire downhill section from the upper fire road is loose powder (think 3"-4") all the way to the lower fire road. Once it meets up with the lower fire road, it's fine from there. I did a couple laps last night and I tried it on an XC tire (Maxxis Crossmark) and I was struggling with traction almost the entire way down. Greg

Greg,
Rim Nordic is saying on their website:"no switchbacks on the west end this race; different course than any this season! ." If you preroad the course do you know if they are taking out the downhill switchbacks after the fireroad or the uphill switchbacks before the fire road? Which ones are the "west end"? |

The new section was OK, but will be much better after some rain. The new switchbacks didn't flow very well, it was haul-ass grab the brakes ...slide the rear around ...repeat.
maybe that section will be ready BY June 2009 for the next race? 1:15 for two laps, first 45-49 and I think 6th OA I'm satisfied. |
