Talking 1000 Miles!!!

I am proud to say I have reached 1000 miles since January 2008! I set out to push my ride game to the next level and reaching the big thou has always been looming in the background. Not to mention I dumped 25lbs along the way.
I noticed I reached a plateau in weight loss and stamina, so I added in a new training regime to create some muscle confusion and am aiming at 2000 miles by the end of the year (and target weight of 200lbs).
That's high school weight right there!!!Oh Yeah!

I travel for work severall days a week, so I take my bike everywhere. The bottomline is because of my mobility, it's hard to lock in one training routine every week. I do get about 3 weekday rides of about 6-16 miles and I ride both weekend days 10-20 each. I added in P90X to improve flexibility, core strength and add variety. No rode riding.

BIG CONGRATS!!!

I also past 1000 miles for the year this week. And I hope to ride 2000+ miles by the end of the year, too.

Keep riding!

Default Thanks!

Thanks everyone...it's great to have the encouragement. In fact, I'm so encouraged, I'm ditching work and heading up to Hurkey for a spin on the old Enduro. Wanna join me, I'm in the silver Camry and will bwe up around 6:30pm.
PS- Can I call it ditching work at 4:30pm??

Congrats! I'm only at 700 miles and would be very happy if i can get in 1500 miles on dirt this year. Need longer rides haha.

Just got a road bike so want to see how many road miles I can crank out.
