This event has been my number 1 training goal since.... the last 8 hrs of Adrenalin. Hopefully it won't be so freaking hot, and I wont suck so much a$$.

I've been thinking about entering the 8hr solo. Anyone know if they require Solo entrants to complete their mandatory volunteer hours?

I did the 8hr solo last time and don't know anything about volunteer hours. Actually 4 of us did 8hr solo and were not told anything about it.

The mandatory volunteers are only required for the teams involved in the 24hr event. Those doing the 8hr are not required to have a volunteer.

I’ll be there on a team, no solo attempt for me … next year?

If your doing 8hr solo....You do not need a volunteer...

I'm very sad to say..We (Neil + family) will be missing this.

It just happens to be my G-ma's 90th birthday this same weekend in IDAHO..

It's either Hurkey Creek OR
This 24 hour race in AZ which is supposed to be the course for the 24 Hour National Championships in '09:
http://www.tucsonracing.com/PSMinf.htm

It would be cool to see STR riders at that one next year. Categories are: solo m/f, male duo, female duo, co-ed duo, 4 person female, 4 person male.

Start training now...

Slacker! haha, Can you still sign up for your volunteer hours early? So maybe you don't get stuck with the 3-6am shift.
