I knew that Mammoth SportingGoods hoasted a local Thursday night XC race. Well to my surprise I saw a flyer when I was there a couple weekends ago that listed DH races too. II've looked on there site and only found on old anouncment. Does anybody know anything about it or have an email for someone that does?

I'm thinking about taking off early for my weekend trip just to give it a go.

I know at least last year and maybe this year too they held dh races every thursday. These weren't serious , they were just fun races. They would just choose a trail to hold the race on, there were no course markers or anything.

I raced it 2 years ago on Velocity. It was a blast and back then everyone went home with a prize from a grab bag/box. The guy running it though smoked everyone with a XC bike and the walkie talkie hanging from his rear pocket w/o pads and a xc lid on. He was fast.

I want to say 2 years ago it was under 10 bucks.

I've been here for a week,& I took my kid for some zip line & rock climbing at the main lodge on Thurs. 7/31 & as I walked by the Adventure Center they had signups or results for the DH race & that was around 4pm . The course that day was on Velocity.
