So, I missed the first one, but I'm in for #2 this weekend. Anyone one else going?

I'll be getting spanked in the Sport Clydes catagory!

I may go up on Saturday and do a pre-ride of the course. I know, STR BBQ, and Whitting Ranch re-opening, both happening on Sat. too.

Just throwing it out there.

Not going to be able to make it up this weekend, but I'm considering doing #3 and the Super D race later on in the month.

Darin - if you make it up to pre-ride come up the rest of the way after your done and say "hello"

I belive you can print out the form and fax it with a credit card payment, or mail it in.

I'm pretty sure they don't do it online....

yeah...pre reg is fax only.

i think reg is kind of a cluster no matter what you do...i figure if you gotta get in line and wait...might as well deal with reg there.

Bummer, in years past we've always done it online and avoided the lines that morning.

It's not bad if you get there early. Last year, we just walked right up just after they opened and had no one in front of us. Got a nice parking spot too!

i think this was the rim nordic race of the year in terms of course condition and weather. the course was in GREAT shape. nice and fast, the dirt looked like moist soil rather then dried out dust. it was really fun to ride.
our team did well: a 3rd in the ss, 3rd in the women, a 10th in the sport men. i finished 6th in sport men. we had a solid group. i put in a good effort to break away from the chase group on the first fire road climb, and pulled away. on my second lap as i entered the single track just before the switchback dh section, i came up on a rider from another class that was ahead of mine. he was riding on his rear rim and torn up tire. i yelled out "passing" a few times... but he refused to move over. just as the course widened up, a rider from my class caught and passed. i jumped on him as he passed but didnt accelerate fast enough. ah well.

so a note to all racers regardless of class: when you're having a huge mechanical and your bike is not functioning- let riders whos bikes are working and are in the race pass. i know nothing was done intentionally, but still…

looking forward to rim #3!

+1 to looking forward to rim #3. that track ran super fast and fun yesterday. i haven't had that much fun while racing in a long time. i wish that course was tacky like that for every race. took 1st in the stage race and another 1st in expert xc. great weekend!!

Man, you're not kidding about the great conditions!
I took second (outa two

) Sport Clydes. My buddy Garret got 1st Expert 50 + and Dan (riderofbikes) got 7th in Expert SS.

I'm racing the Super D with my son Jake on the 26th, then I'll be racing the XC again and the 27th.
