Default BC Bike Race: Manny killing it

Looks like Manny and Campos are killing it. Currently in 4th place among the 94 2-man teams thru day four (~20 min off lead).

We've got a really good friend racing it with her best friend:

They are racing in: Team of 2 Female

Team: Taint Slo
Riders: Sara Bresnick & Kelli Emmett

They currently are in 1st and smoking it!

A guy from work is currently in the top 10 of his age group. The guy he's racing with he didn't meet until Friday

Sounds like they're doing well.

a bit old news as race ended a week or so ago but just noticed manny and teammate podium. huge congrats!!

One of the guys that works at REI (Ed) raced it too. His team finished dead last, but he is proud as hell. Can you blame him????!

Wait a minute those are last years results 2007 I couldn't figure out why Sarah and Kelli weren't in the results - lol,

Manny and his team-mate placed 5th in their divison this year, just 1hr and a few mins under the unbeatable Kona team - Great results when this years race brought so many more world class pros than the last.
5th is fantastic this race was stacked!!!

Good insight, that seems like a very unfair advantage. IMO, that takes away from the "adventure" billing of the race and everyone should have the same level of support.

Nevermind... I forgot there are images and future sales at stake. What was I thinking? Hmmm, commercialism.

better athlete > better sponsors/gear > better support

maybe team la ruta/sho-air will fork over next year for some comparable support. i was rooten for 'em tho, that's fo sho....no pun!
